Fishing for Tacoma Real Estate? How Much House Can You Get For $500,000?

Property sale prices are on their way up, if you’re fishing for a home in North Tacoma how does is that affecting your chances?  Today there are only three homes on the market priced between $500,000 and $600,000 and there are 17 homes in that price range either sold or pending. Below is a sample of three properties that currently received offers, all listed at approximately the same price (mid 500’s) along with a comparable list of features and amenities. You can see that these are three very different properties.

PROPERTY #1:
4415 N Stevens                 Listed at $525,000

Bedrooms: 6      Baths: 4

Sq Ft: 4152          Lot Size: 17,000 sq ft

Built in 1911, This large Tudor has unobstructed view Commencement Bay much of the house is as it was in 1911.  This is a total remodel but when you’re done expect a palace.

PROPERTY #2:
3201 N 28th        Listed at $550,000.

Bedrooms: 3      Baths: 2

Sq Ft: 3862          Lot Size: 6000 sq ft

Built in 1905, This classic Four Square has been completely redone to perfection.  The attic was redone as a retreat or a bonus area for the grandkids I think is really cool and 738 sq feet is unfinished.  Oversized 2 car garage is a real bonus in the North End.   Only on the market for two days

PROPERTY #3:
3020 N Lawrence              Listed at $545,000

Bedrooms: 4      Baths: 3.25

Sq Ft: 3191          Lot Size: 6000+

Built in 1937 redone about 10 years ago but still in excellent shape.  Great views but being sold as a short sale however, still coming in at market value.

As you can see, there are choices in the 500 to 600 price range but you have to be ready to set the hook because if you are fishing in these waters they are few and far between and the competition is out there.
